Orpington Nomads WCC is the oldest women's cricket club in Kent.
Originally a wandering side, we have had a permanent home at Goddington Dene for over 25 years and are now fully merged with Orpington cricket club.
We have a long tradition of members playing for county teams, representative sides and England. We are proud to have supplied to 2 England Women's cricket captains.
We currently run 1 mixed ability side, containing players from the age range of 17 through to 40+. The team plays in the South League Division 1 - this has 8 teams, from Portsmouth in the South to Cambridge in the East. We play each team home and away. We also enter the National knock out competition and play some friendly fixtures. Our games are mainly played on Sundays.
We meet for practice on Thursday nights from May through to August, starting at 7:00pm and continuing until dusk. All ages and abilities are welcome, from 13 upwards. Any younger girls wishing to play are welcome to join their age group within the boys colts section, and join us when they reach age 13.
